The Certificate of Graduate Study in Critical Incident Management and Primary Care (CIMPC) in Athletic Training at the University of South Carolina is designed to empower athletic trainers with cutting-edge skills and knowledge in emergency and primary care to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Students can specialize in areas such as primary care screening, urgent care, exertional and traumatic injuries, and pharmacological interventions.

Admissions Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in athletic training from a CAATE accredited program
  • Board of Certification (BOC) certification as an athletic trainer
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Proficiency in English
  • Computer literacy and access to a personal computer with high-speed Internet

This opportunity allows you to provide patient care while advancing your career, which is specific to the specialty certificate in athletic training. There are a limited number of graduate assistant athletic training positions provided annually and require a separate application process.
