Background

Amirreza Kalantari's research focuses on the intersection of information, technology, people and health. He has published several papers about online health information, health information readability, misinformation and eHealth literacy. He also has experience working as a librarian and has taught Python programming as a guest lecturer.

Kalantari is passionate about the new era of information sciences, and his Ph.D. goal is to leverage novel technologies to utilize, analyze and organize information in the information explosion world in which we are living.

Awards

Call for Code: IBM watsonx competition
Kalantari was a member of the third place team which earned a $2,500 prize. They developed the training of a generative AI to improve access to emergency information during hurricanes.
