Undergraduate

With nearly 500 majors and 60 of the most distinguished and exciting professors on campus, our department has a lot to offer undergraduate students. You 'll find plenty of opportunities to develop your skills and learn outside the classroom, too.

Graduate

Our graduate programs in English are dedicated to advanced study in a number of fields, including literature, rhetoric and composition, creative writing, and speech communication and rhetoric. The department awards the MA, MAT, MFA, and PhD degrees.

First-Year English

The First-Year English Program coordinates all sections of English 101 and 102, the only academic courses that every undergraduate student must complete before graduation.
