Students or student groups, who may be in violation of code of conduct policies, but seek medical assistance for others experiencing an alcohol and drug overdose, will receive educational and supportive measures over conduct outcomes.

Review the Overdose of Medical Treatment Policy.
What to look for:
- Cold or pale skin
- Unconscious
- Puking repeatedly
- Slow or irregular breathing
If you see someone in distress you can reach out to a number of resources:
- 911
- A Resident Assistant (if in a residence hall)
- University Personnel
- USCPD
If you call for assistance, it is important to stay with the student until help arrives, and roll the person on their side.
Provide your name to emergency personnel and you can avoid outcomes.
Potential Educational Outcomes
The online alcohol education modules are educational outcomes for underage students who are found responsible for an alcohol violation for the first time. When enrolled in the module, you will receive personalized and evidence-based feedback and strategies to reduce your risk for experiencing negative consequences from substance use.
This program is designed to help you identify your high-risk behavior, reflect on your decisions and take steps toward making better choices in the future.
Completing the Program
You will attend three one-on-one sessions with staff members from Substance Abuse Prevention and Education (SAPE) to assess your substance use and consider ways to avoid negative consequences in
the future.
