Step 2: Register for Winter Session

Registration opens in the fall at the same time as spring classes and can be completed at the same time.

1. Log into your account on my.sc.edu.
2. Choose the Student tab.
3. Click on the Registration section.
4. Select "Browse Classes."
5. View Spring 2025 classes.
6. Choose Advanced Search.
7. Select Part of Term “Columbia Winter Session.”
8. Pick your class and click on "Add" to add it to your schedule and summary.
9. Click on Submit in the bottom right-hand corner to finalize your registration.

* Winter Session registration is limited to 7 total course hours.*

The accelerated pace and shortened course length helped me balance my fall and spring course loads. The highly-organized, online course was easy to keep up with even though I was overseas for part of the course period.
